Ingredients

  • 2 C spelt, wheat, or all-purpose flour
  • 1 C sour cream
  • ¾ C brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp cloves
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Combine sour cream, honey, spices, and flour in a bowl.
  • In a separate dish, mix together baking soda and milk and add into the other ingredients and combine until smooth.
  • Transfer the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
