Patterns of Christian Living
A Christ-centered life takes intentionality. It does not “just happen” any more than a healthier diet or a steady workout routine happens by accident. Formation always requires attention, time, and practice. We learn it through experience—and in spite of our continual busyness.
What’s more, living by the Church Year often runs against the grain of modern life. Even within vibrant Christian communities, it can be difficult to resist the rhythms, priorities, and pace of the surrounding culture. Yet Christians have long believed that daily life is the primary place of formation. The home, along with our ordinary routines and vocations, is where Christ-like living is first learned, where the Church’s year takes root, and where we experience our Lord coming to us in the everyday.
The articles and resources below are meant to offer guidance and support for this kind of living. Some grow out of lessons we have learned ourselves; others pass on the wisdom of those who have gone before us. Whether you are young or old, new to Lutheranism or long formed by it, we hope you will find something here to encourage and sustain you.
